Funeral services for Mrs. Anna B. Foley, 74, formerly of 1353 Parrish Ave., will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Michael J. Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S. Third St., followed by Requiem High Mass at 9:30 o'clock in St. Veronica Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Mrs. Foley was stricken Friday at. 6:45 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Sigele, 1310 North East 42nd St. Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was taken to the hospital and was dead on arrival Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. She was born in Cincinnati, Feb 10, 1887, the oldest daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Rehr Evers. On Sept. 7, 1910, she was married to Harry W. Foley, in St. Boniface Church, Cincinnati, and five sons and three daughters were born to the union. The couple established their home on Mitchell Ave. in Cincinnati immediately after the marriage and in 1918 came to Hamilton. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Foley dedicated her life to the welfare of her home and family. She exemplified the high Christian principles of motherhood. She was a member of St. Veronica Church and was active in all affairs of the parish while her health permitted. Mrs. Foley was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She leaves five sons, Harold J. Foley, Earl E. Foley, Richard J. Foley and Thomas W. Foley, all4 of Hamilton, and James V. Folery o]of Mt. Healthy; three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Reece, Lebanon, Mrs. Earl Reece, Hamilton, and Mrs. Robert Sigele of Fort Lauderdale, 13, grandsons, 15 granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren, to whom she was most devoted; a brother, Clarence B. Evers, Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Pettit, Covington, Ky., and Mrs. Walter Kruse, Cincinnati, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Foley, Oct. 15, 1951, a brother, Theodore Evers, and two sisters, Mrs. Anthony Hot-haus and Mrs. Joseph Vollheird-ing. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p. m. Tuesday. The Altar Rosary Society will have services Tuesday at 8 p.m. |
